Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

Start by standing tall with your feet together.

  2. 2

Step your right foot out wide to the side and lower into a squat, pushing your hips back and keeping your chest up.

  3. 3

Press through your right heel to stand back up, but keep your right foot out — do not bring it back to center.

  4. 4

Continue squatting on the right side for the desired number of repetitions.

  5. 5

Return to center and repeat on the left side.

Notes

Keep your chest up and your core engaged throughout. Make sure the knee of your squatting leg tracks over your toes and does not cave inward.
