Large Flutter Kick
The Large Flutter Kick increases the range of motion of the standard flutter kick, creating a bigger leg arc that challenges the lower abs and hip flexors more intensely.
Equipment: None
1 / 9
Step-by-step instructions
- 1
Lie on your back with your legs extended and your hands at your sides or under your glutes.
- 2
Press your lower back toward the floor and engage your core.
- 3
Lift both legs off the floor.
- 4
Alternate kicking your legs up and down in a large, sweeping arc — one leg rises high while the other drops low.
- 5
Continue for the prescribed time or reps.
Notes
The larger range of motion increases the challenge significantly. Keep your lower back pressed down — if it lifts, reduce the arc or return to the standard flutter kick.
