Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

Get down onto your hands and knees, forming a tabletop with your back. Your hands should be about shoulder-width apart.

  2. 2

Bring your right knee toward your right shoulder, getting a bend in your side.

  3. 3

Next kick your leg back behind your body, keeping tension throughout your lower body.

  4. 4

Bring your knee back to your shoulder, making sure you engage your obliques.

  5. 5

Repeat this movement for approximately 30–50 repetitions depending on your fitness level.

  6. 6

Switch legs and do the same amount of repetitions on the opposite leg.

Notes

This exercise works your lower body. If done properly, you will feel your booty working, especially the top — gluteus maximus.

Try to keep the leg that is in contact with the floor as straight up and down as possible — it should be perpendicular with the floor.

More than likely you will start feeling pressure in your stationary leg. If you concentrate on keeping your stationary leg perpendicular, this will help to lessen that pressure.
