Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

Start in a high plank position with your hands in fists on the floor, knuckles down, slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.

  2. 2

Your body should form a straight line from your head to your heels.

  3. 3

Keep your core tight, your glutes squeezed, and your hips level.

  4. 4

Keep your wrists straight — do not let them bend.

  5. 5

    Hold for the prescribed time.

Notes

This variation is especially helpful for those with wrist discomfort during flat-palm planks. Keep your fists stable and your wrists neutral throughout.
