Forearm Full Plank
The Forearm Plank shifts the support from the hands to the forearms, reducing wrist load and increasing the core challenge by lowering the center of gravity.
Equipment: None
1 / 9
Step-by-step instructions
- 1
Start on your forearms and toes with your elbows directly under your shoulders.
- 2
Your forearms should be flat on the floor, parallel to each other.
- 3
Your body should form a straight line from your head to your heels.
- 4
Keep your core tight, your glutes squeezed, and your hips level.
- 5
Look down at the floor to keep your neck neutral.
- 6
Hold for the prescribed time.
Notes
Do not let your hips sag or pike up. The forearm position is easier on the wrists but often harder on the core than the high plank — build up your hold time gradually.
